The History of This Marker
This rock was originally in the pasture of Harry Wesley "Bos" Wills near the New Hope Cemetery. Bos' son John Loran Columbus "Bully" Wills got the rock from the pasture, worked it, and finished it into the monument that you see here. Bully was the grandson of Confederate Veterans Christopher Columbus Cooper (Company A, 40th Georgia Infantry) and John Wesley Wills (Company D, 1st Georgia Cavalry).
